Anybody else watch the Emmys last night? The show was pretty good! As were the fashions (which is clearly a main reason for tuning in...) I've also been checking out photos from Couture Week in Paris, and have decided that I would L-O-V-E love to be invited to any party where the dress code was similar to this...

or this...

but especially this:

Loving the air in Toronto right now. (A bold statement, I know).

It is crisp and refreshing, and distinctly autumnal. I love summer, don't get me wrong, but I quite like the transition period in between seasons - especially the transition from summer to fall. It's those days when you adore the idea of donning a sweater as opposed to loathe the notion of having to tug on multiple layers. There's something about fall too that brings with it the promise of a Fresh Start, should you want one (that's probably years of starting a new school year manifesting itself).

I am enjoying this weather though, and how the thought of Fall fills my head with possibilities.

Huh.

Hello dear readers!

Sorry for being MIA - I was home in Nova Scotia to perform Honourable Maiden duties at my best friends wedding (!!!), and it was a busy week. An exhausting, hilarious, celebratory, fun week. Now I am back in Toronto and it seems like my trip home was practically a fantasy. (Corny? Undenyably. True? Undoubtedly.)

After a week filled with errands and appointments and a weekend filled with food, friends, and an open bar I am exhausted. Now that I'm back in Toronto I miss the comfort that being home automatically instills, the seafood (oh the seafood...) and most importantly the ocean breezes. It's funny how quickly I forgot about how the air perpetually sits still in Toronto - in Toronto and in my sweltering apartment. Oh reality, why you gots to be like that...

I'm in Halifax all week long. It's busy and filled with things to do - but also filled with loved ones and good food and fun. It's good to be home.

The Wizard of Oz is celebrating its 71st Anniversary.

I wouldn't take note, except that I'm currently reading Wicked (which is a super cute read, btw), and well, I may or may not have played the Tin Man in a rousing rendition of the Wiz when I was 12 years old... just sayin'.

Huh...

I have unknowingly selected Mrs Marjorie Houseman's dress as my Bridesmaid dress for my bestie's wedding next week.

Perhaps I'll copy some of her dance moves (seen at 5:28) as well...

Ahh the desert...

Woah.

While I've managed to accomplish pretty much everything I wanted to accomplish today, I've also spent some quality time with cups of tea and a book on the back patio. How lovely.

I just scored 0/6 on a quiz on news items of the past week. I really need to work harder at being up on current events.
